Karl is the founder of KWD Services, the leading web radio technology company. Karl founded KWD Services in 2004 with the intent of simply designing websites, but branched off into Internet hosting and expanded the services to what we now provide after he successfully built and ran a local terrestrial AM radio station in Dumfries, Virginia. As the C.E.O., Karl oversees daily management to ensure the team is working together smoothly, and occasionally gets involved in website design and development projects. Karl has extensive development skills in HTML/XHTML and CSS. Prior to forming KWD Services, Karl served as an independent I.T. consultant for multiple law firms in the Washington, D.C. area. Karl Stallknecht currently holds a CCENT from Cisco Systems, a CompTIA A+ Technician certification, and a CompTIA A+ Essentials certification. In addition, he is working towards a CCNA from Cisco Systems.
Alex Buie joined KWD Services in September of 2009. Alex could easily take claim for being the brains behind building the innovative technology running our operations. As the Senior Network and Senior Software Engineer, Alex is responsible for not only maintaining our high quality networks and ensuring uptime, but also for writing 90% of the software code used for clients. Prior to working at KWD Services, he served as an independent I.T. consultant for the Price William County Library System and was an A/V technician for a local church here in Northern Virginia. Alex Buie currently holds a CCENT from Cisco Systems and multiple CompTIA certifications, including A+ Technician, A+ Essentials, Linux+, and Network+. In addition, he is working towards a CCNP from Cisco Systems.
CJ joined KWD Services in September of 2007. CJ has played a major role in keeping our customer satisfaction rate as high as it is (99.999% of our clients have reported that they are 100% satisfied with our products and/or services and would do business again with us in the future and refer others...this is all thanks to CJ's hard work). As the Director of Technical Support, CJ is in charge of ensuring that clients are served as they should be, and ensuring that all of our clients' requests are answered in a timely fashion. CJ runs our Pittsburgh office, out of which our highly skilled and highly trained technical support representatives are located. CJ is also responsible for content writing and writes all of the textual content used in our website development projects. Prior to joining KWD Services, CJ worked as a board operator and web director for 92.1FM WPTS Pittsburgh. CJ Malm holds a Communications degree from the University of Pittsburgh, and a Digital Communications & Programming Logic degree from the New Hampshire Community Technical College.
Alex joined KWD Services in May of 2007. Alex is the inspiration for many of our products and services, and has a passion for his career here with us. As the C.T.O., it is Alex's responsibility to come up with new tactics to place KWD Services one step ahead of its competitors when it comes to the technology we use for our clients and in the office, keeping us efficient with the latest and greatest tools. He is a MySQL and an Oracle database administrator with extensive development skills in multiple languages including C, C++, Perl, PHP, Python, SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle, ASP, Java, and others. Prior to joining KWD Services, Alex worked as a server engineer for Clear Channel Communications in Philadelphia and was also a fill-in board operator for Clear Channel. Alex Rago holds an A+ and a Linux+ certification from CompTIA and also holds a CCNP from Cisco Systems.
